Six of us made this February trip to Okefenokee (in southern Georgia). After a long day’s drive, we car-camped on the eastern edge of the swamp, and met out outfitter the next morning. We had three days and two nights (one on a platform, one on Floyds Island) in the swamp, with cold nights and pleasant days. Saw lots of mellow gators and other creatures. Fantastic scenery, and one of the most impressive outdoor experiences to date!
