This was a week-long backpack with a group that has been hiking the canyons in southern Utah for many years (not a Sierra Club trip). This particular trip was in the watershed of the Escalante River, near the town of Escalante. Part 1 of this trip was to Coyote Gulch. Part 2 covers Davis Canyon and Fifty-mile Canyon.
